This project was done in collaboration with The Hardy Boys.
RCL Foods let us loose in their new building and allowed us to create all of the bespoke art installations, counter fronts and directional signage through out the building. Being inspired for by elements used to transport food, make food and utensils to serve food. We constructed the reception counter with timber food crates creating display panels to showcase some of RCL food products and stencilled interesting facts about company onto the timber crates. In the triple volume atrium we created massive spoons made up of hand painted canvases. Different aspects of these spoon canvases are viewed from each of the levels within the building. For the 3 levels of boardrooms we took the RCL motto "Do things that can't be done" to heart and hand stapled 100 000 timber spoons to floating walls spelling out the company motto.
For the directional signage and naming convention for the meeting rooms we based our theme on items that could be found on pantry shelves and developed iconography around this theme. We developed bespoke counter fronts for the test kitchens, coffee counters, canteen food counters and drinks bars.We took 180 enamel dinner plates, fixed them to a wall and hand painted a mural over all of the dinner plates. We designed and manufactured a beautiful utensil coffee table that bent our minds while figuring out how to construct it and then blew our minds with the outcome.
Needless to say we had loads of fun and were immensely grateful to RCL for allowing us to take them on this journey to explore the limits of our creativity.
